Rui Moreira, a famous brazilian dancer and choreographer, is also the artistic director of the “FAN”, “Festival de Arte Negra” in Brazil. In a country where black people are still the victims of segregation and social injustice, this festival offers an opportunity to highlight the afro-Brazilian’s contribution to the country’s cultural and economic development, and to give an artistic expression to a quest for identity that is also shared by their afro-Caribbean brothers and sisters.

Sandra, a first name that has been a symbol in Martinique since that day in June 2005 when this 28-year-old young woman was burned alive in the street by her ex-girlfriend.
In Martinique, the notion of so-called "passionate" crime is thus at the center of a real social debate. The press echoes the popular revolt, civil society is mobilized. Sandra's death is one crime too many. It will be the starting point for a series of actions undertaken to try to remedy what is, at last, perceived as unacceptable. Nothing will ever be the same again! And yet...

Ce clip vidéo a été réalisé dans le cadre d'un projet pédagogique pluridisciplinaire mené avec les élèves du Lycée Charles Coeffin de Baie Mahault à l'occasion du 8 Mars, journée internationale de la Femme.
Il a remporté le 2ème prix au Concours National de l'Audace Artistique et Culturelle 2017 qui réunissait tous les lycées de France et dont le jury était présidé par Jamel DEBOUZE.

George, c’est un siècle de Guadeloupe qui se raconte au féminin.
Certes, 98 années d’une vie de pionnière, de guerrière, lui ont laissé quelques bleus à l’âme mais bien peu de rides au coin des yeux et elle continue de porter sur le monde et ses chimères un regard d’enfant.
Sage femme par vocation, femme politique par conviction et combattante inlassable pour les droits des femmes, George demeure avant tout un témoin éclairé de l’histoire de son île, à laquelle sa propre histoire est viscéralement liée.
Et c’est un privilège de l’entendre les raconter.
